Mark Speno

Superintendent of Schools for Windham Southeast

Mark Speno has served as the Superintendent of Windham Southeast Supervisory Union since 2021.  

Previous to Mark taking on the Superintendency he served as an elementary school teacher for nine years, served as principal of Vernon Elementary School From 2009-2014 and principal of Green Street School from 2014-2021.  In 2020 Mark was recognized as a National Distinguished Principal by the National Association of Elementary School Principals and was also recognized as the Vermont Principal of the Year by the Vermont Principals Association. 

With the continuous development of many new initiatives Mark has and continues to work closely with school leaders, staff, school boards and the community to keep our priorities focussed on what is most important, our children!
